The programme in addition to offering a minor award at level 6 is designed as a one-year online qualifier to allow holders of craft qualifications and others with substantial relevant work experience to progress to the level 7 BEng in Mechatronics.The level 7 programme can then be completed in a further two years online study. The Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Automation & Robotic Systems is a multidisciplinary three-year engineering programme. The main areas of engineering covered on the programme include: Electrical, Electronics, Advanced PLCs and SCADA, Programming, Process Control and Instrumentation, CAD, Industrial Networks, Motion Control and Robotics Systems and Work Placement. Automation engineering involves the design, development and implementation of sensor and robotic systems. At its core is the combination of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering with computer technology, namely, mechatronics. This multi-disciplinary programme will equip you for a diverse range of modern technological roles. Industrial Automation 1. Delivered on Tuesdays (4pm to 8pm) from September 2020 to December 2020.
